LOCATION IS OUR BIGGEST ATTRACTION!

The seewalk has now been compleeted for 2 years, it has a bridge at both ends of our property,
so you can now walk in a compleet loop.
Fundrasing has started to compleet the walkway to Crofton Beach

Our location on the south east coast of Vancouver Island, sheltered from the prevailing wind by Salt Springs Island, makes us an ideal Resort to visit in summer, & a good place to spend  all or part of the winter. It is a well known fact amongst Meteorologists that the Cowichan Valley  gets the best weather on the Island. Being beside a Deep Water Port, there is always ship or barge activity to watch.
CROFTON is a small quiet town, it has good basic shopping facilities & has a very active Senior Center. Please look at our 'Attractions' section for "What's on & where to go".
We invite you to pay us a visit during the summer, & use the introductory offer we are advertising in our SPECIALS section customers who stay 2 days get the 3rd day  free! We are confident you will like what you see, & will want to stay all or part of next winter here. For those who are not coming this way  during the summer, there is a lot of information with Links to many other sites in the "Attractions " sections. This will give you more idea of what this area is like. Please also E-mail  me with any questions I have not answered.
We do get quite a lot of  rain showers in the winter, but it brightens up quite soon. This is how this part of BC keeps so green in the winter, & why we plant winter flowers! The location of our family built & operated site & our predominant adult orientation, makes it an ideal winter destination for  Seniors who need to get away from the cold. There  is  a lot of adult occupational activities in this area to suite most needs. . We have the following advantages:
1. We are Adult Orientated especially in winter.
2. For those who just want to be quiet & peaceful, we have a excellent Cable TV service, plenty to watch on the sea, & a nearby Senior Center, & a thriving Community center.
3. For the more active seniors who like outdoor attractions, there are a large number of Golf courses open year round. Check the ACTIVITIES page for details.
4. For those that like towns & shopping, the quaint Mural town of CHEMAINUS with its famous LIVE THEATER is 2 miles away, it is great place to visit, especially during the quiet winter period. DUNCAN, the City of Totems is 3 miles away has good shopping facilities. NANAIMO our largest local town, 15 miles, has just opened its 5th bigger & better shopping Mall!  The beautiful city  of VICTORIA - a scenic 35 mile drive, is the capitol of BC, it has many attractions to suit all tastes. See ATTRACTIONS page for info on Victoria.
5. For those that want to learn new skills, or just update existing ones, DUNCAN, is a great town to be near. The Cowichan Community center runs a wide range of day & evening activities. A call to (250) 748-7529 will bring a copy of their ‘Fall Active Living Guide'. There is also the Duncan branch of Malaspina University College, who as well as running daytime education classes, run a lot of Adult evening classes with a wide variety of subjects. The Internet is a specialty subject. Call (250)748-2591. or see what they offer on <www.mala.bc.ca/cowicchan>
